The 1st CIARMA Annual Meeting was held together with the  2nd ExGal-Twin Regional Meeting  at the IAC on 23 September 2026.

Impact

  • From a workshop to a professional community: in 18 months, the 1st Regional Meeting (40 professionals from 12 organisations) led to a Working Group of 9 organisations and to the CIARMA network, which has 58 members (October 2026).
  • Regional reach: CIARMA members come from four islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma and Fuerteventura). The IAC's project management know-how, gained through the twinning with Groningen, Durham and Strasbourg, now reaches the wider Canary Islands R&I ecosystem.
  • Professionalisation: research project managers in the region now have a shared space to exchange good practice and develop their skills.
  • Sustainability: the network is hosted by ACIISI and is open to individual members. It continues after the project ends.
