Workshop XV:

Carmen de la Victoria, Granada, March 23-25, 2026

RATIONALE

The 15th Estallidos workshop will be held in Granada from March 23th to 25th, 2026, organized by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA - CSIC) and the Univ. de Granada (UGR). The workshop is promoted by the spanish coordinated project  ESTALLIDOS 8: Multifaced study of star-formation in the Universe  project.

During this workshop, we will review the state of the art in the research field and the progress and development of our project in terms of scientific results and methodologies, and then discuss the potential of current and forthcoming works, instruments and surveys to explore new avenues of research in the immediate future. The main topics will be:

  • Multi-wavelength characterization of star formation
  • Key aspects of star formation in a cosmological context
  • Understanding reionization-era galaxies and their local analogues: massive star formation from the earliest galaxies to the cosmic noon
  • Star formation, metallicity, and galaxy evolution in extreme environments
  • Construction of advanced instrumentation for large telescopes
